RESEARCH INTERESTS:

My research interests primarily involve practical applications of the study of non-human animal personality. For example, can canine personality traits be used to predict success in working dogs, and do traits associated with success vary depending on the type of work required of the dog (e.g., military working dogs vs. ecological detector-dogs)? Are inter-specific or intra-specific variations in behavior or personality traits associated with the ability of introduced species to thrive in new environments? Additional research interests include ontogeny and plasticity of personality traits.
